“POWER ON”
Design/Print: DRW BLK
Initially inspired by the raw & robust sound of a KT-88 amp tube, “POWER ON” is the result of improvising a printing operation at home during the “non essential” business shutdown days in late Spring 2020.
At a certain point, the World seemed to have slipped into uncertainty & suddenly it got harder to start the day on the right note. It was clear that whatever “Truth” is was being distorted & yet there was an allotted time space bearing a chance & a choice.
An endless sky was still the limit.
Imperfection. Inconsistency. Excess pressure. Registration offsets.
I made this design forgiving enough to still retain its glory through a rough & (much needed) stress-relieving print run at home while cranking FUZZ.
I’m very pleased with how it came out overall & the fact that it now hangs on my wall as the first thing I see getting out of bed everyday.
This is the very first poster print of many to come & as the tradition goes, the screens get shot out to never be burned again.
Only 120 pieces of this design have & will be ever brought to existence (I’m keeping a few for myself tho FYI).
All hand-printed & numbered by yours truly, available only at the Shockerline store while supplies last.
Thank you for your interest if you made it this far & Stay Tuned!
Best regards,
-DRW BLK
